The Satya Scholarship Program 2025 by the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust is a merit-cum-means scholarship designed to empower students, especially girls, to pursue higher education. It covers full annual course fees for selected undergraduate or integrated master’s courses (3-5 years) in Commerce, Engineering, and Medical fields at select colleges in Ludhiana district. Recipients of this scholarship are called Satya Scholars.
🏛 About Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust
The Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust was founded in 1983 by Late Shri Sat Paul Mittal in tribute to India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The Trust works to nurture talent, inspire dreams, and enable deserving students to pursue education with confidence and dignity.
📌 Eligibility Criteria
- Open to students pursuing Medical courses (MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Paramedics) at select colleges/universities in Ludhiana district.
- Must have passed Class 12 board exams from Ludhiana district with minimum 60% marks.
- Annual parental/guardian income must not exceed INR 5 Lakh.
- Preference given to girls, sportspersons (state/national/international), persons with disabilities, orphans, and children of single parents.
- Scholars must maintain 75% attendance, good conduct, and minimum 6 GPA or 60% marks to continue receiving the scholarship.
- Applicants should not be recipients of any other educational scholarship.
💰 Scholarship Benefits
- Covers 100% of the annual course fees for the full duration of the undergraduate course (excluding refundable charges like caution money or security deposits).
- If course fees were already paid, the amount will be reimbursed to the scholar's or parent's bank account.
- Hostel and mess charges may be considered for scholars required to stay on campus.
- After graduation and employment, Satya Scholars are encouraged to support at least one student at school or college level continuously.

- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Proof of Identity and Address (PAN, Voter ID, etc.)
- Current year admission letter from the institute
- Class 12 mark sheet
- Institute’s fee structure document
- Parental income proof (Tehsildar/BDP certificate, affidavit for orphans/single parent, salary slips, ITR/Form 16, BPL certificate)
- Bank account details of applicant and parents
- Crisis-related documents if applicable (parent death certificate, critical illness proof)
- PWD or sports achievement certificates, if applicable
- Statement of Purpose (SOP) outlining aspirations and reasons for applying
