About the Program
The Muskaan Scholarship Program 2.0 (2025-26) is an initiative by Valvoline Cummins Private Ltd. (VCPL) to support children of commercial drivers (LMV/HMV), mechanics, and students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). The program ensures continuity in education for students in Classes 9 to 12 from southern, eastern, and northeastern states of India by providing a grant of up to INR 12,000 for academic expenses.
Selected students will also receive mentorship support, including guidance on goal setting, academic excellence, and sessions on road safety, helping them build confidence and overcome challenges.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students studying in Classes 9 to 12.
- From southern, eastern, and northeastern states: Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Odisha, Bihar, Puducherry, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal.
- Belonging to one of the following categories:
- Children of commercial drivers (LMV/HMV)
- Children of mechanics
- Students from EWS category
- Minimum 60% in the previous class.
- For EWS students: total family income ≤ INR 8 lakh per annum.
- Children of VCPL employees or its partner organisations are not eligible.
Benefits
- Scholarship of up to INR 12,000 (based on actual academic expenses).
- Mentorship support, including sessions on road safety.
- Funds are for tuition fees, books, uniforms, stationery, and other education-related expenses.
- Scholarship disbursed annually; renewal depends on availability of funds.
Required Documents
- Proof of identity (Aadhaar card)
- Current year admission proof (fee receipt/admission letter/institution ID/bonafide certificate)
- Signed and stamped marksheet of previous class
- Documents to prove parents’ profession (one of the following):
- Commercial Driving License (for drivers)
- Shramik Card
- Employer confirmation or self-declaration letter attested by authority
- Family income proof (for EWS students, choose one):
- Income proof from Gram Panchayat/Ward Counsellor/Sarpanch
- Income proof from SDM/DM/CO/Tehsildar
- Last 3 months’ salary slips or ITR
- Bank account details of the applicant
- Recent photograph
- Fee letter from institute (if final receipts not available)
