About the Scholarship
The Kotak Kanya Scholarship is a flagship initiative by the Kotak Mahindra Group in collaboration with the Kotak Education Foundation. This scholarship is designed to empower **meritorious girl students** from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by providing them financial assistance for pursuing **professional higher education** after Class 12.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be **female students** who have successfully passed Class 12 from a recognized board.
- Minimum **75% marks** or equivalent CGPA in Class 12 board examinations.
- Annual family income must be less than **INR 6,00,000**.
- Applicants must have secured admission to the **first year of professional graduation programs** in the academic year 2025-26. Eligible courses include:
- Engineering (B.Tech/B.E)
- MBBS and other medical courses
- Integrated LLB (5 Years)
- Integrated BS-MS/BS-Research at ISER/IISC Bangalore
- Design, Architecture, and other professional courses
- Courses must be pursued in **institutes of repute**, accredited by **NAAC** or **NIRF rankings**.
- Children of employees of Kotak Mahindra Group, Kotak Education Foundation, and Buddy4Study are **not eligible** to apply.
Benefits of the Scholarship
The Kotak Kanya Scholarship provides **financial support of INR 1.5 lakh per year** to each selected scholar until the completion of her professional graduation course. This amount can be utilized to cover a wide range of educational expenses, ensuring that students can focus on learning without worrying about financial burdens.

Required Documents
- Class 12 marksheet or equivalent qualifying examination certificate
- Proof of parental/guardian income (Salary slips, ITR for FY 2024-25, or equivalent)
- Fee structure and admission letter for the 2025-26 academic year
- Bonafide certificate or letter from the college/institute
- College seat allocation document and entrance exam scorecard
- Aadhaar card and bank passbook (first page)
- Passport-size photograph
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
- Death certificate of parent (for single parent/orphan candidates)
- Photographs of the family residence (if required for verification)
Selection Process
The selection of scholars is conducted by the Kotak Education Foundation based on merit, financial need, and compliance with eligibility criteria. The process typically involves:
- Online application submission via Buddy4Study
- Verification of documents and eligibility criteria
- Shortlisting of candidates based on academic performance and need
- Final selection at the discretion of the foundation
Note: Submission of incomplete or incorrect documents may lead to disqualification. The foundation reserves the right to verify any information provided and reject applications if found ineligible.
